Shuffleroo is a free gift exchange app that runs from one link: the host pastes it in the group chat, everyone taps their name and pulls a name whenever they like, and nobody sees who got who.
Is Shuffleroo free?
Yes. Shuffleroo is free. There are no paid tiers and nothing to unlock.
Are there ads?
No. Shuffleroo shows no ads and uses no tracking or advertising cookies. The only cookie keeps you signed in to your groups.
Do I need an account or an app?
No. There is no app to download and no account to create. The host pastes one link in the group chat. You tap it, tap your name, and you are in. An email is optional for guests. It lets you get back in on another phone and get a reminder before gift day.
How does the draw work? Is there a shuffle step?
There is no shuffle step. Everyone pulls their own name whenever they like. The first pull makes the draw for everyone who has joined. The hat opens once three people are in.
Can I stop couples from getting each other?
Yes. The host can add pairs who shouldn't get each other, like couples or people who live together. Pairs lock once the first name is pulled. The host can start over to change them.
What if someone joins late?
They slot in. A late joiner goes into the hat without a redraw for everyone. A few people may get a "pull again" email because their name went back in the hat. Nobody has to start over.
How many people can be in one Shuffleroo?
From 3 to 100. The hat opens at 3 people.
Is it only for Christmas?
No. Shuffleroo works for any gift exchange: family holidays, birthdays, office swaps, friend groups, trips, and clubs. You set the gift day and the gift limit.
Can the host see who got who?
No. Nobody can. Each match is encrypted, so not the host, not other people in the group, and not Shuffleroo when it looks at its own database. The name you pulled is only loaded when you tap "Pull a name", so a glance at your screen can never spoil it.
Does it suggest gifts?
Yes, once. After you pull a name, you can ask for gift ideas. They are written by AI from what your person said they are into, plus the gift limit. You get one set, made just for you, and it never changes. Prices are guesses, so check before you buy.
Can someone who can't be there still take part?
Yes. Anyone can add a shipping address. Only the person who gets them sees it. Not the host, and not the rest of the group. Shuffleroo deletes addresses 30 days after gift day.
