Free Secret Santa generator. No ads, no app.
Shuffleroo is a free Secret Santa generator that takes a minute to start and runs from one link. The host pastes the link in the group chat, everyone taps their name and pulls a name on their own phone, and nobody sees who got who. There are no ads, nothing to download, and no account to make.
Free, with no ads and nothing to download.
How it works
Start a Shuffleroo. Give it a name, set a gift limit, and pick a gift day. It takes a minute.
Paste the link in the group chat. People tap it, then tap their name. Or add their emails and we send the invites.
Everyone pulls a name. The hat opens when everyone is in. Each person pulls whenever they like.
What free means here
Shuffleroo costs nothing. There is no paid tier, no trial that runs out, and nothing to unlock.
There are no ads on any page. We use no tracking or advertising cookies, and we never sell your data. The only cookie keeps you signed in to your groups.
Like a hat of names, but for a group chat
A hat of paper names works when everyone is in one room. Most groups are not. Someone is away, someone is late, and someone pulls their own name and has to put it back.
Shuffleroo is the hat, on everyone’s phone. Each person pulls when it suits them. Nobody can pull their own name. And once you pull a name, it never changes. Nobody is ever asked to pull again, unless their own person leaves the group.
Fair, and actually secret
The first pull sets every match at once. Everyone gets one person, and nobody gets left out.
Each match is encrypted. Not the host, not the rest of the group, and not Shuffleroo can see who got who. The host is in the hat too, so the host gets a surprise like everyone else.
Your person’s name only loads when you tap “Pull a name”. So someone who glances at your screen can’t spoil it.
What you get, free
- A gift limit and a gift day that everyone sees, in your currency.
- Couples and housemates kept apart, if the host adds them as pairs.
- Wishes: tap a few things you’re into and add a note for whoever gets you.
- Gift ideas for your person, written by AI from their wishes and the gift limit.
- Reminder emails before gift day, for anyone who adds an email.
- An optional shipping address, for people who can’t be there.
- Anonymous questions: ask your person something, like their size, without saying who you are.
- No repeats next year: “Run it again” gives everyone someone new when the rules allow it.
- Groups from 3 to 500 people. Big groups join from the link, and a search box finds your name.
Questions
Is this Secret Santa generator really free?
Yes. Shuffleroo is free for every group. There is no paid tier, no ads, and nothing to unlock.
Can the organizer see who got who?
No. The host is in the hat like everyone else and can’t see any match. Nobody can. Each match is encrypted.
Can someone pull their own name?
No. Shuffleroo never gives you yourself. It also never pairs two people the host kept apart, like a couple.
Does everyone need an email?
No. Only the host needs one. Guests tap the link and tap their name. An email is optional. It lets a guest get back in on another phone and get a reminder before gift day.
Does it work outside the US?
Yes. It works on any phone, tablet, or computer with a web browser. Pick your currency next to the gift limit: dollars, pounds, euros, and more.
Ready when you are. It takes a minute.
